I am a pastel painter using a graphic style. I employ layers of color as well as linear marks to depict florals, landscapes, Cape Cod scenes, and other subject matter. I also do pen & ink drawings, calligraphy, commissions of landscapes and portraits.
I am a freelance photographer specializing in travel and nature photography. I have spent over thirty years visiting the Cape and have been seriously photographing the Cape for more than ten years. I offer fine art prints of Cape scenes, as well as many world-wide destinations, and lead personalized photo tours.
After my formal education at Syracuse, I picked up a brush
and started to paint, mostly with oils. I am self taught. I purposely did not study other artists because I did not want to be too influenced by their work. My work is purchased exclusively at the Agin Fine Art Gallery, 172 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA.
Inspired by Jung, weather, music and myth, Allrich creates expressive, painterly abstracts. "Threading through my work is a restless desire to explore diverse influences and claim the authentic. Painting is a process of self discovery."
In our pottery studio/gallery we have wheel-thrown and hand-built stoneware bowls, vases, pitcher, mirrors and more: in colors of the sea: blues, green, whites and greys.
I am a fine art photographer specializing in Cape Cod scenic images.

Photography is my passion. Some 25 years ago, I traveled around New England photographing lighthouses thoroughly convinced that my 35mm SLR camera was the best gift ever received. During the last 5 years I have worked exclusively with digital photography. I do my own editing and printing.
Spending summers in Truro has afforded me so many opportunities with my photographic adventures. I have become captivated with my environment and all that she offers- the dunes, dune shacks, the tides, the ocean, sunrises, sunsets, the lighthouses, and sand- sandtalk, I call it.

Located in one of the oldest houses in Sandwich, (see the map) Shawme Pond Pottery is the home and workshop of Margaret Tew Ellsworth, artist, potter and educator. Visitors will find the artist at work in her studio that looks out into the gardens and woods from which she draws her inspiration. Creatures from rabbits to chameleons adorn her cache-pots and ovenware, while leaves from the wild grapevine appear on her tableware. Here too, the leaf-faced visage of the mythical Green Man peeks out from fountains, planters, pitchers and mugs. Watercolors and oil paintings reveal marshes, flower gardens and the surrounding seas. Each piece of pottery and each painting is individually created, and each piece will be one-of-a-kind and never exactly duplicated. Most of the Pottery is practical as well: oven proof and dishwasher safe.
